Book Report Questions
1. Read one of the books, then analyze and ctique the author's ideas and analogies. What are the author's main arguments around the central idea/thesis?
2. Discuss the authors approach on the topic. Do you know what the central topic is at the beginning of the essay/book? Where does the author bring in the central them? How does the author tie ideas together?
3. Discuss how the author's approach to the topic is different from how a textbook or techinical book approaches the topic.
4. Was the topic itself of interest to you or was the way the author presesnted the ideas what caught you attention when you choose the book?
5. How has the book increased your interest in the topic? Has the book changed your opinions or thoughts on the topic or given you new direction in your understanding of the topic?
